Gardening at Sloat
Commodore Sloat has a robust weekly gardening program where we grow everything from apples and carrots to strawberries and leafy greens. Our gardening program teacher Mr. Raphael teaches our kids how to work magic into the soil with their hands and bring out glorious sunflowers! Students learn garden-based science and environmental literacy. The garden also helps them to connect with nature and with each other.
