Along with all school districts in California and many others throughout the United States, SFUSD and Commodore Sloat Elementary School have transitioned to a new set of standards called the Common Core State Standards (CCSS). The Common Core State Standards are world-class standards that reflect the kind of rigor demonstrated in academically high-achieving nations.
The CCSS were designed with college and career readiness in mind so that our students will be able to successfully compete in a global economy.
