Are there days when you can go to work a little late? Then consider these easy and fun volunteer jobs:

  • We are looking for a parent volunteer to be our IT overseer. If you have those skills and a desire to help, please send an e-mail to as soon as possible.
  • Stuff Wednesday envelopes – Wednesday mornings from about 8:45-9:15 or so. Just show up in the cafeteria after morning assembly any Wednesday. No RSVP required. Volunteers bring the Wednesday envelope boxes from the classrooms. As they arrive, you can grab one, stuff it, and return it to the classroom. 15-20 minutes at most.
  • Lead a School Tour – Remember touring schools when you were trying to pick a kindergarten? At Sloat, the tours are led by parent volunteers. Tour leaders should be somewhat experienced with the school and should be prepared to study a bit to make sure they know their facts. Tours run from 9-10 a.m. on Tuesdays from the middle of October until the enrollment deadline in January. Send an e-mail to if you’re interested.
