Halloween Festivities

SFUSD K-5 Public Elementary School

Sloat celebrates Halloween in a big way!

Pumpkin Patch

The Parents’ Club trucks in hundreds of pumpkins and sets up a pumpkin patch in the upper garden, complete with decorations. Every child gets to pick out their perfect pumpkin. Parents work the pumpkin patch in shifts, helping unload, set up, write names on pumpkins, take photos, and clean up.

Halloween Parade

On Halloween, students and staff, and quite a few parents too, put on costumes and have a parade in the lower yard. Students come to school with their costumes in a labeled bag and will have time to change before the parade.  Masks and face paint are allowed during the parade, however no “weapons” of any sort will be allowed at school. Please also avoid scary clown costumes.

The PCO invites each and every one of you to attend our yearly events, which help build and strengthen our school community at Sloat. Please consider also volunteering and helping us make them extraordinary. If you want to know who is in charge of an event, to ask questions, or volunteer to help please send an e-mail to [email protected].
