I grew up, surrounded by my large extended family, on our dairy farm in Marin County. It was the University of San Francisco that first brought me to the city. It’s where I met my husband, Kevin, and I’ve been here ever since. In my free time, I love to cook, bike-ride, work at the farmer’s market or creamery store, travel, watch movies and read. This is my sixteenth year at Commodore Sloat and my 27th year of teaching. It is my tenth year teaching Second Grade. My aunts were school teachers and I was incredibly fortunate to have some wonderful teachers growing up. So, far as far back as I can remember, I’ve known that I love kids and wanted to be a teacher. To challenge and inspire children to learn is the best and most fun job I can imagine.
